How we select and order hotels
The storefront shows only live hotels inside the configured Trincomalee, accommodation and hotel scope; it does not create an editorial score or a hidden local ranking.
Default ordering
The main hotel catalog uses the SriLankaX Read API’s documented “newest” sort by default. Visitors can select the documented price-ascending, price-descending or name ordering. Search is passed to the platform within the same storefront scope.
Collections and areas
Area pages use the supplied Trincomalee area keys. Collection pages use documented SriLankaX facets such as beachfront, pool, family-friendly, quiet, luxury and near Pigeon Island. Empty live collections are not filled with sample hotels.
Commercial relationships
The supplied Connection Kit reports that partner commissions are enabled, but it does not state that commission changes listing order. This storefront therefore does not claim that commercial terms improve ranking. The partner disclosure explains the commercial boundary in more detail.
What we do not rank
- No invented “best hotel” score.
- No local star classification inferred from guest reviews.
- No awards or popularity claims unless a supported live field explicitly provides them.
- No paid placement claim unless the platform contract explicitly documents it.
